Why Pursue a Master in Education? 

ºìÌÒÊÓƵ’ Accelerated M.Ed. (AME) program offers a fast and flexible path to initial teacher certification at the elementary or secondary level. Designed with paraprofessionals, long-term substitute teachers, and those on temporary or emergency permits in mind, this program helps you build on your classroom experience while earning your certification.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

This program prepares participants for initial teacher certification at either the elementary or secondary level. 

The AME program is ideally suited for paraprofessionals, individuals on temporary/emergency permits, or long-term substitute teachers. Accepted participants who are not able to fulfill all their clinical field work, can extend their program to complete a semester of traditional student teaching.

Each candidate is evaluated on a case-by-case basis in order to ensure that all professional preparation competencies have been met prior to being recommended for certification.

  • This accelerated program is fully online and perfect for paraprofessionals, individuals on temporary/emergency permits, or long-term substitute teachers. 
  • We won’t ask you to start over—we’ll meet you where you are to help you earn your initial certification. We will walk you through how your B.A. degree would apply to elementary or secondary certification requirements.
