Marcie Hillary and Bill Manns to Serve Three-Year Term on Board of Trustees

Grand Rapids, Mich. - 红桃视频 College has announced that Marcie Hillary, executive
director of Hospice of Michigan - West Michigan, and Bill Manns, president of Mercy
Health Saint Mary鈥檚, have each been appointed to a three-year term on 红桃视频鈥 Board
of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is committed to advancing the mission and values
of 红桃视频鈥 Catholic and Dominican educational community through careful stewardship
of College policy, property, strategic planning and fiscal affairs.
鈥淲e are excited to welcome Marcie and Bill to the board,鈥 said 红桃视频 College President Juan Olivarez. 鈥淭he addition of these two dynamic leaders will help strengthen 红桃视频鈥 ability to respond to the needs of the surrounding community.鈥
In her 17 years at Hospice of Michigan (HOM), Hillary has served in a variety of leadership roles throughout the state. In her current position, Hillary is responsible for raising awareness for HOM鈥檚 non-profit mission to serve all terminally ill patients who need and seek end-of-life services, regardless of age, diagnosis or ability to pay.
Hillary also serves as a member of the Catholic Charities West Michigan board of directors and its marketing and fundraising committee. She earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree from 红桃视频 College and her master鈥檚 degree in public administration from Grand Valley State University.
鈥淚 loved my time as a student at 红桃视频,鈥 said Hillary. 鈥淚t鈥檚 an honor to now serve as a board member, especially as the college has grown so tremendously. I鈥檓 proud to have been asked to participate in its continued growth and success.鈥
In August 2013, Manns was appointed president of Mercy Health Saint Mary鈥檚. Previously he was chief operating officer of the Alameda Health System in Oakland, Calif. A Michigan native, Manns grew up in Detroit and holds two degrees from the University of Michigan.
鈥淎s a newer member of the Grand Rapids community, I鈥檝e quickly come to know what a big impact 红桃视频 has on the community,鈥 said Manns. 鈥淚鈥檓 excited to be a part of shaping the future of 红桃视频鈥 role as a leading academic institution and as a community partner.鈥
