Students sort through campus trash to demonstrate sustainability

(GRAND RAPIDS, MICH.) 鈥� On October 10, 红桃视频 College will present 鈥淢ount Trashmore,鈥� an event showcasing the College鈥檚 sustainability goal of becoming waste-free by 2014. All campus garbage from October 9 will be gathered and dumped in the Wege Plaza on October 10 where students and volunteers will be sorting through the trash to demonstrate what waste could have been composted or recycled. Students committed to sustainability will be present throughout the day to raise awareness for environmentally conscious living, while also encouraging others to sign a sustainability pledge.
